What would Wolverine do?

Wolverine’s expression made this my favorite panel in X-Men #21, which is part of the ongoing “Hellfire Gala” X-books crossover.

In case you aren’t familiar with the character, that’s Laura Kinney, formerly X-23, now codenamed Wolverine.

Think of Laura

Laura took the name Wolverine when her dad James Howlett a.k.a. Logan died, and kept it even when he came back to life.

So they’re both called Wolverine, just as Peter Parker and Miles Morales are both Spider-Man, and Clint Barton and Kate Bishop are both Hawkeye.

Laura was portrayed on the big screen by British-Spanish actress Dafne Keen in the 2017 movie “Logan”.

Fun fact: Laura was first created for the “X-Men: Evolution” TV series before the character made her way to the comics. She was initially introduced as a female clone of Logan, but was later revealed to be his biological daughter.
